Toby is a symmetrical and powerful, light golden retriever that stands at 23.25 inches and is 70 pounds. His gorgeous dark pigment around his mouth and correct eyes, accents his kindly, beautiful expression which reflects a loyal, confident, laid back dog that naturally acts like a therapy dog for his autistic owner’s son. He processes short ears that just cover the eye with proper ear set and has full dentition. His neck blends in nicely into his shoulders which have proper lay back and on to his level, strong, non-sloping topline. Well sprung ribs flow into a muscular loin and on to a proper tail set which includes a muscular, thick based tail which he carries slightly above midline. He processes balanced angles with a deep chest, and broad, strongly muscled hindquarters. He has a stance that displays straight, correct legs and balance. This coat is thick and water-repellent. His gait is free, smooth, powerful and well coordinated. He is clean coming and going. He has correct reach and drive and can appear to “float” around the ring as he opens up on his side gait.
